National Guideline Clearinghouse
The National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC), an initiative of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is a public resource of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Guidelines can be searched by topic including disease/condition, treatment/intervention, and health services administration. An additional feature is Guideline Syntheses which are systematic comparisons of selected guidelines that address similar topic areas. Key elements of each synthesis include a discussion of areas of agreement and difference, the major recommendations and the corresponding strength of evidence and recommendation rating schemes, and a comparison of guideline methodologies.
